San Francisco Will Become Gotham City For A Day

Posted: Updated:

He's a five year old battling Leukemia, but his sunny, positive attitude has inspired the city of San Francisco. On November 15th, San Francisco will become Gotham City, and little Miles will get his wish granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He'll be Batman for a day.

According to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Miles will ride in a Batmobile with an adult "Batman." They will rescue a damsel in distress, capture the Riddler, and get the city mascot back from the Penguin.

According to the foundation, "This is a great opportunity to see the magic of a wish in action – and a perfect outing for kids, grandkids and Bat-fans everywhere!"

The Make-A-Wish Foundation has done superhero themed days before. In 2010, they helped a 13 year old boy become "Electron Boy" as he and "Spider-Man" defeated "Dr. Dark" and "Blackout Boy" in Seattle.

Video games may be pure fantasy, but a violent action-adventure game called "Watch Dogs" has ignited a very real debate in one South Jersey community. Watch Dog allows players to adopt the persona of a James Bond-like computer hacker, chasing an evil mastermind. People say it's chock-full of foul language, sex and violence, features dark and foreboding backdrops. The latest version, which is due out this fall may be set in Camden.
