MESA, Ariz. -

You can find just about anything on Craigslist, but a 20-year-old man posted an ad -- looking for a gun -- to kill his grandfather.

Mesa Police started getting calls when the ad went up on the web site Wednesday.

Shocking messages were also posted on social media: a bloody hand with the Facebook post "I just killed my grandfather" or this tweet, "I am going to kill my grandfather -- I need a gun."

"We got a couple calls that came into the department.  We had some family members of other officers on the department that called their relatives and said, hey I don't know if this is real.. if this is somebody pranking their buddy, but you probably should look at this," said Detective Steve Berry.

Officers responded to the ad and met up with Devin Almejo in a grocery store parking lot.  He even offered undercover officers an iPad, iPod and free haircuts for a year to carry out the murder.

"We're talking about a homicide here. We're talking about murder.  This is serious.  Are you sure this is something you want to do?  Something you want to go through with?  Statements of that nature.. and each and every time, the suspect answers in the affirmative yes," said Mesa Police Detective Steve Berry.

Almejo was arrested and his grandfather, Michael, told us on Thursday that he was very surprised to hear what happened.

"We were getting along fine.  There was no problems at all.  The first I heard about this was last night.  This morning when the police came," he said.

Almejo is now facing charges of conspiracy and first degree murder.
