Woman caught on camera riding Blue Line with O`Hare alligator

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

CTA has released images of the person last seen with an abandoned alligator recovered at O'Hare International Airport earlier this month.

The woman reportedly boarded the Blue Line at Pulaski, just after 1 a.m. on November 1. Dressed in all black, she is seen showing off the alligator to other passengers before exiting at O'Hare.

She was captured on camera boarding a train around 2:45 a.m. without the reptile.

The two-foot-long alligator was in poor health when it was found under a Terminal 3 escalator by a maintenance worker.

"Allie," as the animal has been nicknamed, had a soft-bone condition that showed evidence of poor husbandry. Chicago Herpetological Society volunteers are working to rehabilitate Allie, who has not eaten since being found.

Anyone with information to help identify the woman should contact CTA's Customer Service 1-888-YOUR-CTA (1-888-968-7282) or feedback@transitchicago.com.

Those responsible for this act can face a misdemeanor charge of cruel treatment of an animal or face a fine $300 to $1,000 for cruelty to animals for abandoning the animal in a public place.
