West Philadelphia -

Police Officers shot an armed man after a scuffle that started inside a Parkside store.

A Philadelphia police officer shoots a suspect armed with a gun and a knife after what investigators are calling a violent struggle inside a store that spilled outside here in the city's Parkside section.

Police say they were answering a 911 call of a man with a gun in the 5200 block of Jefferson.

Police followed the suspect into a store…tried to frisk him when they say the suspect fought with three officers…punching one of them in the face.

Everything then spilled outside where police say the suspect pulled a loaded hand gun…prompting another officer to fire once…hitting him in the stomach. He's in critical at Hospital of University of Pennsylvania. Police say the shooting was justified

"The officers were in full uniform, the officers used marked police cars, the suspect clearly knew he was dealing with police. The suspect put up a violent struggle," Chief Inspector Scott Small of the Philadelphia Police Department said.

Police say they used as much restraint as possible. The punched officer has a bruise on his face. The suspect did not have id on him there's no word on what his connection is to this neighborhood.

Video games may be pure fantasy, but a violent action-adventure game called "Watch Dogs" has ignited a very real debate in one South Jersey community. Watch Dog allows players to adopt the persona of a James Bond-like computer hacker, chasing an evil mastermind. People say it's chock-full of foul language, sex and violence, features dark and foreboding backdrops. The latest version, which is due out this fall may be set in Camden.
