Camden County police have cleared one suspicious vehicle but are still looking to identify another one. The suspects driving the vehicle in question have approached kids in Gloucester Township.
On two separate occasions, a vehicle has pulled up to children, both female, as they're walking.
Police released surveillance video of a truck in question, but it was later identified to be driven by a local resident who was in the area for legitimate purposes. Police describe the current vehicle of suspicion as a white work style van with tinted windows, a silver ladder with a red rope hanging from the rear of the ladder. The driver was described as a heavy set white male, late 40's or early 50's, possibly wearing glasses, and a dark jacket and dark hat.
One alleged incident happened yesterday morning on Breckenridge Drive. The other incident happened on Tuesday on Sugarbush Drive.
The Gloucester Township Police will continue to investigate this incident, and the public is requested to call 9-1-1 if you observe suspicious activity. If you have any information about this incident, the public is requested to call 856-228-4500. Or call the GTPD Anonymous Crime Tip Line: 856-842-5560.
Rain arrives for the second half of the work week. Another fall-like blast of cool weather to follow for the weekend.
Scattered showers are possible tonight as a cold front approaches the area. Otherwise, the best chance for rain will be Thursday afternoon and night where we'll see on and off showers and thunderstorms.
Clouds and showers linger though much of Friday. We may still see a passing shower Saturday. Unseasonably cool air returns this weekend where both days only see high temps in the mid 70s with many of us falling into the 50s at night.
