TUCSON, Ariz. -

Improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were found outside a Tucson hotel on Tuesday morning.

Tucson police say a passerby saw objects that looked like explosives outside Silverbell Inn and immediately called 911.

When officers arrived, nearby streets were shut down and the area was evacuated as a precaution.

Tucson Police Bomb Squad determined the objects to be IEDs and moved the objects to another locations where they were rendered safe.

After investigating throughout the day, detectives were able to identify the suspect as 30-year-old Scott Johnson.

Police say Johnson was found late Tuesday night by patrol officers near Grant Road and Stone
Avenue.

He was arrested and booked into the Pima County jail on six counts of misconduct involving weapons.
