Man Charged In Road-Rage Stabbing At Mall Held Without Bond

A man who allegedly stabbed a couple in a fit of road rage at a Maryland mall on Thursday won't be getting out of jail any time soon.

A judge on Friday ordered David Goldberg, 24, of Potomac, Md., held without bond.

At a bond review hearing for Goldberg, Assistant State's Attorney Robert Hill revealed chilling details of case.

He says the couple honked their horn at Goldberg after he cut them off.

He cursed at them and sped off, and then it allegedly got worse. Authorities say Goldberg came back.

The mayhem happened when the couple got out of their car to go into the Westfield Montgomery Mall.

Witnesses tell investigators Goldberg revved his engine, hopped the curb and slammed into Dennis Hines' car. He then allegedly jumped out of his vehicle with a five-inch knife and went after the couple.

Hill says this is a serious case of road rage and Goldberg – who he revealed likes to collects swords and knives – is a danger to the public.

Goldberg was living with his mother, who was seen leaving court surrounded by family and friends.

She declined questions from reporters, including inquiries about her nearly 2-year-old granddaughter who was in the car with Goldberg during the whole ordeal, Fox's Audrey Barnes reported.
