Ne-Yo to perform at Carnegie Hall benefit concert

Posted: Updated:
MYFOXNY.COM - Children and families in need this holiday season will be getting a helping hand from Ne-Yo, Jennifer Hudson and Sheryl Crow.

The three superstars will be taking part in the LIVE 4 the Give Holiday Benefit Concert at Carnegie Hall on Mon., Dec. 2.

Tickets are still available. You can only win tickets by texting L4TG to 41444 and making a donation. For more details, visit Live4TheGive.com

A portion of the proceeds will go to Ne-Yo's charity, Compound Foundation, and VH1 Save the Music Foundation

"I'm very hands on with Compound Foundation. Kids growing up in foster care and kids growing up in group homes these are the "forgotten kids." They get a negative stamp on them just because of the way they come up and most of the time it's not their fault. The Compound Foundation steps in to show them that where you come from and where you go has nothing to do with each other. We also fight the whole situation of medicating a child versus disciplining a child," said Ne-Yo.

The Grammy award winner who calls Atlanta home is currently working on his sixth studio album.

"I have a few artists I'm working on. So (the album) will be out soon," said Ne-Yo.

There's more to the lavish lives of the stars of E!'s 'Rich Kids of Beverly Hills' than meets the eye. Dorothy Wang, daughter of billionaire retail tycoon Roger Wang; Morgan Stewart, daughter of architect-to-the stars Herbert Stewart; and E.J. Johnson, son of NBA legend Magic Johnson, say they're trying to send a different message in their reality TV show. "We’re here to shed the negative stereotypes of rich kids,’ said Johnson.
