ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

A JetBlue airplane traveling from Fort Meyers to Boston had to make an unscheduled landing in Orlando when an emergency slide partially deployed into the front galley of the aircraft, a spokesperson for JetBlue Airways said.

"Out of an abundance of caution an emergency was declared," said Loren Durán with JetBlue.

Flight 1266 was diverted to Orlando International Airport on Wednesday after the incident, landing safely at 3:45 p.m.   The aircraft taxied to the gate where customers deplaned from the rear door.

"The aircraft was taken out of service for further inspection," Durán said.

No injuries were reported.
