PHOENIX (KSAZ) -

Over a breakfast of bacon and eggs, a group of men in Mesa sat down to dish politics.

"We're in deep trouble."

It's a topic that leaves a bad taste.

"Politicians need to get on the ball and get this thing going in the right direction."

But it's not just in Mesa.

"They're not doing anything."

Voters across the valley want action.

"Get off your hands.. do your job."

Fed up with the constant bickering in Congress.

"I'm not a fan of any of the candidates anywhere right now."

Upset over the President's health care law.

"That's his fault 'cause he's trying to push stuff on us that most of the people in the United States don't want."

And tired of lip service.

"Anyone can run their mouth."

So how bad are things for politicians?  Well, President Obama has an approval rating of 39 percent.  Toronto's embattled Mayor Bob Ford, the one caught smoking crack, has an approval rating of 40 percent.  So how do you improve a tarnished appearance?

That's what Republican governors are hoping to figure out this week.
