WATCH: Bystander tackles man fleeing from deputies

BRANDON (FOX 13) -

Deputies are hoping you can help them identify a bystander who helped them nab a fleeing potential suspect this morning. The whole incident was caught by SkyFOX overhead.

While the Brandon-area lockdown and manhunt was underway, video shows a deputy rolling up on a man walking along Brandon Boulevard in the area of the search.  When the deputy approaches him, the man takes off.

The man appears to be getting away until a bystander drives up and tackles the man and waits for deputies to catch up.

Now, deputies say they want to know who that bystander was so they can thank him for his efforts.

"When the deputy arrived and began handcuffing the suspect, the good Samaritan walked back to his car and left without leaving his name," HCSO spokesman Larry McKinnon explained.

Deputies were still questioning the fleeing man to determine if he was connected to the shooting, which left two people injured.
