Army Specialist Christopher Ochs was paralyzed in April 2011 when the truck he was riding in struck an improvised explosive device or IED. The non-profit group "Homes For Our Troops" organized the effort to get Ochs a new, more suitable place to live. The goal is to build him and other injured veterans a home (mortgage free) that will help them regain their freedom and independence.

Homes For Our Troops has been building homes all across the country since 2004. To date, they have built 146. Army Specialist Ochs' home should be complete by early summer.
