(WJBK) -

Two weeks after 21-year-old Jenna Guarascio was murdered in Inkster, her family suffers another hardship - her father was fired from his job at Independent Transmissions in Detroit.

John Guarascio says he received a text message last Thursday from his boss, asking John to call him. John did, and says he was told 'This just isn't working out' and 'You've got too much going on in your life right now and it's affecting your work.'

Fox 2's Taryn Asher spoke with the auto shop's owner over the phone. He says personnel changes had been in the works and the timing was an unfortunate coincidence.

Police say Jenna, from Dearborn Heights, was sitting in a car parked in a driveway in Inkster with her boyfriend and a friend when, suddenly, gunshots rang into the vehicle. Jenna was the only one hit.

Police say they are narrowing in on a suspect in the November 10th murder.
