(FOX 11 / CNS) Two women were seriously injured when they were struck by a hit-and-run driver known to them both in Sylmar, police said today.
Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. Randy Modrell said the women were struck in the 11500 block of Hunnewell Avenue around 11 p.m. Tuesday. A videographer at the scene, quoting a relative of one of the victims, said the women struck were current and former girlfriends of the suspect.
Modrell said he could not confirm this, but added, "It appears as though they all know each other." Modrell said the suspect was believed to have been driving a dark, high-powered sedan.
Both victims were hospitalized in serious but stable condition, Modrell said.
No arrests were immediately announced.
