A server in Ann Arbor, Mich. received the tip of a lifetime recently.
Ben Swerdlow-Freed was already working a 75 person party at Bar Louie when his co-workers asked him if he could take another table.
He agreed and introduced himself to his two new customers. The men explained they were in town from California for a game.
It was a normal meal until the bill. That's when Swerdlow-Freed noticed his $3,000 tip courtesy of "Tips for Jesus."
An Instagram account held by the anonymous diner or group of diners says they are traveling the country and leaving massive tips.
"I had asked him why. He told me it was based on the beer recommendation. Right place, right time, right beer," Swerdlow-Freed said.
The server said he spent the money on a year's worth of car insurance, his phone bill and a night on the town with his co-workers.
