LAKE ZURICH, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Two schools in northwest suburban Lake Zurich were put on lockdown Tuesday morning after a student reportedly brought weapons to school.

Isaac Fox Elementary School and Lake Zurich Middle School South, both at 395 W. Cuba Rd. in Lake Zurich, were put on a hard lockdown about 10:35 a.m., according to a statement on the School District 95 website.

A middle school student allegedly "brought weapons to school," the statement said. That student has been "apprehended by police," according to the statement, which added that "no weapons were used during the incident."

The lockdown at Isaac Fox was lifted as of 12:20 p.m., according to the School District.

Middle School South remained on hard lockdown until police finished their investigation and the building was searched, the statement said.

The lockdown was lifted and the "all clear" given about 12:35 p.m. and normal activities have resumed at both schools, the statement said.

Lake Zurich police said there was "no safety issue at the schools" as of noon, but directed further questions to the school.
