The southwestern portion of the state is under a winter weather advisory until early Wednesday, with 1 to 3 inches forecast Tuesday and another 1 to 3 inches expected Tuesday night. Blowing snow is expected to reduce visibility. Officials are urging caution.

An additional inch of accumulation is forecast for southeast Michigan Tuesday.

A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for much of the state. More than nine inches of snow blanketed southern Michigan in recent days.

In Ionia County, a flood advisory is in effect for the Flat River due to an ice jam. The National Weather Service says area water levels will fluctuate.
