There is another public hearing scheduled for Tuesday morning in Ocala to discuss raising taxes to fund a new baseball stadium.
Marion County will discuss the possibility of adding a half-cent sales tax, in order to build a stadium that would bring the minor league version of the New York Yankees to Ocala.
Last week the commission agreed to draft an ordinance that reduces the city of Ocala's requested five-year sales tax to three years.
During Tuesday's meeting, the commission will vote to approve that referendum.
As of now, the New York Yankees Class A farm team plays in Tampa.
