CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

The nearly two-month-old western lowland gorilla born at the Brookfield Zoo in November recently spent some quality time with mom Koola.

Western lowland gorillas are critically endangered due to habitat destruction, disease such as the Ebola virus, the illegal pet trade and poaching for bushmeat.

The adorable infant gorilla, who has yet to receive a name, can be seen between 4 to 9 p.m. at Brookfield's annual Holiday Magic festival until the end of December.

FOX 32's Jake Hamilton gave Good Day Chicago viewers a sneak peek on Thursday at the special friends you can make at the fest!
