NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - Famed Yankee Stadium, a mecca for baseball, has been transformed into a football field for the New Era Pinstripe Bowl.

Special considerations were taken to create the field for the 4th annual bowl game which is expected to be the biggest yet.

"George Steinbrenner loved college football," said Yankees president Randy Levine about the late team owner.

The stadium was built to accommodate football, soccer, music concerts and other events.
