NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Chaos erupted at Brooklyn's King Plaza Mall one day after Christmas. It was all captured on cell phone video. You can see a young woman in black pants and top being dragged away by mall security. Cops say she was fighting with the person in red pants.

A mall employee told Fox 5 that between 300 and 400 teens began to gather at the mall around 5 p.m. and then, suddenly, those same teens started to grab small ticket items like candy and balloons and fought with each other.

A teenager showed us her Facebook page and said messages on social media urged teens to put the mall on "tilt." the fighting got so bad, authorities say, the mall was forced to close for one hour around 7 p.m.

The Kings Plaza Mall issued a statement urging minors to only come to the mall accompanied by an adult.

For the first time in years, more than 1 million New Yorkers are smoking, marking a disturbing rise of tobacco use in the city that pioneered a number of anti-smoking initiatives that were emulated nationally.  Sixteen percent of adult New Yorkers smoked in 2013, up from 14 percent in 2010, which was the city's lowest recorded rate, according to the findings released by New York City's Department of Health.

One of the most surprising findings in a report from the New York City public advocate is that city officials have virtually no authority over how nail salons are run. The city can't enforce standards like they do with restaurants, so it's clearly a case of beauty buyer beware. We get our nails done without thinking too much about it.
