BRADENTON (FOX 13) -

Deputies have charged a 31-year-old Bradenton woman for domestic battery after she allegedly threatened her boyfriend because he would not "cuddle" with her.

The Bradenton Herald reports that Shavonna Rumph told deputies she threatened her boyfriend with a knife because he refused to cuddle with her in bed.

It happened after the boyfriend had been drinking at their residence in the 4300 block of 18th Street West, according to an arrest affidavit.

Deputies say Rumph threatened Henry Pride Jr. with the knife and refused to let him leave their residence.

The Herald reports that Pride Jr. never felt that he was going to be hurt.

Rumph faces a misdemeanor domestic battery charge.
