Local family of missing doctor speaks out

Posted: Updated:

A family in Kissimmee is desperately searching for answers after their successful daughter disappeared nearly a month ago.

Authorities say 30-year-old Dr. Teleka Patrick was last seen on December 5th in Kalamazoo, Michigan where she was completing her residency at a hospital near where she lived.

Her 1997 gold Lexus was later found with her ID and wallet inside about 100 miles away in Indiana.

Patrick's mother and father live in Kissimmee and spoke out about their concern for their daughters safety on Monday.

"We need to get some information. We are concerned. People just don't disappear off the face of the Earth," said father Matthais Patrick.

To add to the already swarming questions over this case; two odd videos of Telkea speaking to a mystery loved one surfaced on Youtube.

Her parents say they had no knowledge of Telkea being in any romantic relationship.

"We never knew of any boyfriend. When we saw this, we saw the Youtube video we don't know who it is," Matthais said.

In the videos Teleka alternates between telling who she refers to as her "baby" that she loves them and singing romantic ballads. She also shows off a meal she cooked for the camera.

The family is now working with a private investigator to help uncover more information.
