Funeral Held For Woman Stabbed To Death

Posted: Updated:
Washington Township, New Jersey (My9NJ) - Earlier this week, friends and family gathered to pay their final respects to Teia Gallo. It’s believed that Gallo was stabbed to death by her younger brother, Travis, the day after Christmas in their Washington Township home.

During the funeral services, Teia’s younger sister Destiny spoke to the crowd and shared some of the special moments the two of them had together.

Destiny also said that a situation like this is extremely hard on the family but they “stick together and drive on through”.

The Gallo family is made up of twelve children. Nine of the kids were biological siblings and three of them were adopted. The family is believed to be very close to one another.

At this time Travis has been charged with the murder of his sister and they have about 30 days to figure out whether or not he will be charged as an adult.

In an interview with The Record, Dr. Gallo’s was quoted saying that Travis had had trouble in school, that he was bullied and a bit of an outcast.

Recently, Chasing New Jersey uncovered a privacy violation by the NJDEP and Parks Police at Liberty State Park. There, police were putting social security numbers on parking tickets and citations that were being left on vehicles for anyone to see. Well now the ACLU has sent a letter to the NJDEP telling them to stop with this practice because it's against people's constitutional rights. ACLU Legal Director Edward Barocas further discussed the organizations involvement.
