In Tallahassee, state leaders are hiring 330 new workers in order to help process unemployment applications because of problems with the new online system, according to the Daytona Beach News Journal.
Agency officials say the unemployment department has been swamped with phone calls and emails from people who say they are having problems with the new website since it went live on October 15, 2013.
The department is expected to hire more than 75 more people in January and February to help assist with the websites problems.
At this point, it is unknown how much it will cost the state to hire these new employees.
State officials say it is also unclear when the system will be running without any issues.
