It may sound worse than it is, but the Polar Vortex people in the Northeast heard so much about last winter is already concerning some as it gets set to return this summer. Meteorologist Mike Woods says there is no need to worry, just be aware of the possible weather changes to come.  "A big dip in the jet stream could set us up for severe weather mainly Tuesday," said Woods.

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (AP) - You know it's too cold outside when a place that bills itself as Snowtown USA cancels some of its winter festival events.

The organizers of this week's Snowtown festival in Watertown in northern New York cancelled some of the outdoor activities as temperatures plunged below zero across the North Country. Scratched from this week's lineup were a snowshoe tour, horse-drawn carriage rides, dog sled rides and a snow softball tournament.

Organizers moved other outdoor activities to indoor facilities. The events run through Sunday.

Watertown, located 65 miles north of Syracuse, revived its Snowtown festival for the first time in 17 years.
