Body found of woman who disappeared on Lake Pickett when her canoe capsized

The body of a missing boater has been found. A spokesperson with the Orange County Sheriff's office told FOX 35 they found her body shortly before noon Sunday.
Investigators had halted their search for the woman Saturday night and resumed early Sunday morning at 8 a.m. The woman disappeared around 5 p.m. Saturday while she was out canoeing with some friends.
Orange County Sheriff's deputies say the woman and two men were in the canoe when it capsized. The two men were able to get to shore safely.
Tina Wheeler, a witness to the events that unfolded told FOX 35 the men were distraught about the fact that there friend was still missing.
"Of course they were upset, missing one boater; we just tried to help as much as we could," Wheeler said.
Orlando Fire and Rescue divers spent hours searching the lake, with a helicopter assisting from overhead, but nothing was found. However, now that searchers have found the woman's body, the Orange County Medical Examiners office will exam the body, until then deputies aren't saying the cause of death.
The woman's identity also isn't being released at this time.
