A health warning to get your flu shot, especially for pregnant women.
Florida health officials said one pregnant woman has died and four others around the state have been hospitalized because of the flu.
To encourage getting vaccinated, the Florida Department of Health recently announced that Medicaid will temporarily pay for flu shots for pregnant patients over the age of 21 through the end of March.
Health officials say the vaccination protects unborn children and babies during the first few months after birth.
Flu symptoms include headache, fever, severe cough, runny nose and body aches.
Pregnant women and the elderly are the most vulnerable, but all residents are being urged to get vaccinated.
