SpaceX successfully launched another Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station on Monday. The unmanned rocket was originally scheduled for liftoff on Friday but was delayed.
The rocket delivered a Thaicom 6 telecommunications satellite to a geosynchronous transfer orbit. The satellite will beam Ku-band and C-band services to Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
This was the eighth official launch in the Falcon 9 series and the second launch to a geosynchronous transfer orbit. Last month, SpaceX marked its first commercial launch from its Central Florida launch pad, the first commercial flight from the Cape Canaveral AFS in over four years.
