A new study from the University of Florida finds that food safety is one of the biggest concerns for most Floridians. Researchers at the University of Florida questioned more than 500 people, and what they found was that many people have concerns about food in general. People were given a list of 15 issues to choose from, and what researchers found was that 85%t of those surveyed ranked "food safety" as the third most important issue. "Food production practices" came in 9th, with 74%. The issue of "genetically modified foods" was 14th on the list, with 57% calling it important. According to the research, Floridians also say they believe many children and adults go hungry every day in the U.S. because they can't afford a balanced diet.
