RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - Police say a shopper avoided serious injury when a 71-year-old driver lost control of her vehicle and smashed through the door of a northern New Jersey pharmacy.

Video shows the 18-year-old shopper brushed by the vehicle and knocked down as it crashed into the Rite Aid store on Park Avenue in Rutherford on Wednesday.

Police Sgt. Sean Farrell tells The Record newspaper the woman who was struck declined medical attention and said she would see her own doctor.

The driver has not been issued a summons and the crash remains under investigation.

No names have been released.
