Orlando hotel robbery

Posted: Updated:

Orlando Police are searching for three suspects who robbed a La Quinta Inn late last night.

The hotel, located off Major Boulevard, was surrounded by police just before midnight.   Detectives say the three suspects, two women and one man, were in and out of the hotel within minutes. Orlando Police say the suspects were able to grab more than $200 in cash before running off. Nobody was injured.

Police tell us they spent hours canvassing the neighborhood and looking at surveillance footage from the hotel.

Detectives say the suspects used disguises that help to cover a majority of their body.   Orlando Police tell Fox 35 that they don't believe this robbery is related to the string of robberies that have occurred in Central Florida over the last several weeks.  They do add the investigation is on-going as they continue to gather and collect evidence and information.

They're hoping and urging anyone with information on the robbery or the whereabouts of the three suspects to call the Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
