Snuggle Buddies

Posted: Updated:
Trenton, New Jersey (My9NJ) - There is a new company in New Jersey that claims they can alleviate stress, anxiety, depression and more through the method of snuggling.

TheSnuggleBuddies.com is a new website where people who are in need of human platonic touch can go and hire professional snugglers by the hour. The owner assured that there is nothing sexual about this service.

A professional snuggler will cost you $60 for one hour of snuggles. Snuggler Katie discussed why she is involved in this kind of service.

“I’ve always been interested in more relationship and sex therapy. One big trend in sex therapy right now is sex surrogacy actually, where you can work hands on. This feels like a lot less intimidating version of that. So I just feel like that touch and companionship is very important and I’ll probably keep working in the field,” she said.

Another snuggler, Elora, chimed in to talk about any safety concerns that may arise during a session.

“I can’t say I ever felt unsafe. I’ve never been in a situation that I’ve been uncomfortable because of the fact we do talk to them prior. We make sure they understand the service before we proceed any further,” she said.
