DETROIT (WJBK) -- Students at Detroit's Martin Luther King, Jr. High School will hold their fifth annual Martin Luther King Jr. Legacy March on Monday, Jan. 20.

The March will begin at 10 a.m. in front of the school at 3200 East Lafayette for a 1.2 mile walk. This year's theme is "Our Legacy United in Peace," honoring Dr. King and President Nelson Mandela.

After the March, a program and community service projects will further energize the day featuring area students, King High students and alumni, and Eastern High School alumni.

Community members are encouraged to join King High School in furthering the work of Dr. King.
