More Bridgegate Subpoenas

Posted: Updated:
Trenton, New Jersey (My9NJ) - Bridgegate continues, this time with 20 new subpoenas announced yesterday which scan three government agencies and 17 individuals. Assemblyman John Wisniewski teased the latest developments in this ongoing scandal.

“We discussed an executive session the names and organizations that will be receiving those subpoenas and I know that the question you all have is so who’s getting them and we’re not gonna tell you,” he said.

Some reports say that former deputy chief of staff Bridget Kelly, former campaign manager Bill Stepien and Christie’s spokesman Michael Drewniak are among the people subpoenaed. It is also speculated that Christie’s incoming chief of staff Regina Egea and former NJ attorney general David Samson are also on the list.

The New Jersey Senate has also created a new committee to investigate bridgegate further.

While all this was going down in Trenton, Governor Christie headed down south to Manahawkin, New Jersey to discuss Sandy recovery. This is the first public appearance for Christie since the bridgegate emails became public and tons of media gathered in hopes the governor would comment further on the whole debacle.

“I suspect there are a few more cameras here today then we might have originally thought for a Sandy event,” Christie commented.

The governor didn’t address bridgegate directly, but he did acknowledge the scrutiny he is receiving lately.

“There’s all kinds of challenges as you know, that come every day out of nowhere to test you,” he said.

StubHub is getting a lot of bad press, but the site is really the victim here. The hackers have hacked accounts from other sites, and then used that information to get into the StubHub accounts.
