CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A man wanted in Winnebago County for shooting a woman with a shotgun and threatening her daughter in 2012 was held in lieu of $1 million bond after his arrest in Chicago Thursday night.

Donald Harvey, 50, was charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder and one count of unlawful use of a weapon, according to a statement released by the Cook County Sheriff's office.

Harvey was wanted on a warrant for shooting a woman in Rockford with a shotgun on June 15, 2012, and then pointing the loaded weapon at the woman's daughter and threatening to shoot her, the sheriff's office said.

He was arrested about 11 p.m. Thursday after sheriff's police found him at a Chicago shelter, where he was listed under the alias of Ron Harken, the sheriff's office said.

His bond was set at $1 million at the Maywood Courthouse Friday, the sheriff's office said.
