CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Police rescued two men after they fell into Lake Michigan off the Museum Campus late Friday.

About 11 p.m., a person alerted officers in the 1st District that two men had fallen into the water near the Adler Planetarium in the 900 block of East Solidarity Drive, police said.

When police arrived, one of the two men had been pulled out by a group of people. One of the responding officers then removed his gun belt and lowered it down to the water for the other man to grab on to, police said.

The men, both 25, were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in "good-to-stable" condition, police said.
