The NFL has been at the forefront of merchandising jerseys and other apparel for women, who make up 45 percent of football fans. Now that the Super Bowl has come to the Big Apple, the league is unveiling some cutting edge looks.
The NFL will have a special pop-up store opening at the end of January in Macy's Herald Square, where female fans can purchase all the looks for two weeks, leading up to the big game.
"We went around New York and photographed the cabs and the buildings, from New Jersey into Manhattan," said NFL Creative Fashion Director Phillip Bloch. "We always try to incorporate the colors and themes of the city into the gear that you're gonna be wearing."
The NFL is unveiling an array of new looks, Bloch said.
"We have jewelry, we have watches and earrings," he added. ""We have fun boots, we have really fun gloves and scarfs and hats."
Whether you plan to hit up a few Super Bowl parties or be in the stands at MetLife Stadium, Bloch said it's really all about showing off your team spirit.
While Bruno Mars and The Red Hot Chili Peppers hit the stage at halftime, there's no doubt that, in these numbers, you'll be a show stopper too.
"We are going to give everybody a show they have never seen and fashions to go with it."
Super Bowl XLVIII airs on February 2, on FOX 35.
