Best Bars To Catch The Super Bowl

Posted: Updated:
The Super Bowl is right around the corner and New Jerseyans are getting ready for all the partying and fanfare that comes along with the big game. If you’re like most people however, chances are you are going to be sitting in front of the big screen instead of braving the cold temperatures at MetLife Stadium.

Well places all over New Jersey are catering to fans and offering game day deals. One the best places to catch the big game is Mickey's Bar and Grill located in Lyndhurst, New Jersey; minutes away from the stadium itself. Owner Ron Gastelu discussed the bar’s game plan and why his bar is the place to be when the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos go head to head.

"We have twelve screens on the main wall and little screens so no matter where you turn your head you can see your game," Gastelu said.

Metropolis Nights Magazine also rated Mickey's as having the best wings in Bergen County, so you can be sure that your food is on par with your choice of brew.

Another bar that will be going off on game day is Victory Sports Bar located right in the Meadowlands Entertainment Center where the NFL has rented out the entire building for the game. Unfortunately, most fans won't have access to that exclusive party. However, this bar boasts huge flat screen televisions with multiple floors and plenty of space for all the celebrations that will be taking place that night.

Whether you’re going to be bar hopping for the big game or just staying indoors, its easy to say that this years Super Bowl is sparing no expense when it comes to creating the perfect gaming atmosphere in the Garden State.

Fair Lawn, New Jersey Mayor John Cosgrove says that the town’s water tower is in desperate need of repairs, but it seems that a bird’s nest is the reason why construction hasn’t began yet. “It’s a $1.5 million project. We’re going to paint the tower, it hasn’t been painted in 18 years, so we were ready and thought we could get it done in the spring and be ready for summer and now we have to wait between four and six weeks because we have to wait until the hatchlings fly,” he explained.
