Video: Murder Victim's Last Moments Alive, Suspects And Getaway Car

PHILADELPHIA -

Philadelphia Police have released new video is showing the moments leading up to a deadly shooting in Northern Liberties.

They video shows 26-year-old Amber Long's last minutes alive as she walked with her mother down North Front Street Sunday night in Northern Liberties on their way home and are approached by two armed men.

"She didn't see it coming," said Homicide Captain James Clark. "He grabbed her purse, her body turned and with that he pulled out a gun. He just shot her for no reason."

Her mother Stephanie Long's purse was snatched. The second armed robber tried to steal Amber's new purse that her mother says she bought earlier in the day for $14.

"He's ready to shoot," Clark explained at an afternoon news conference. "His mind set pretty much is he's going to shot from the beginning."

Police say part of  the surveillance video, which they did not release, goes on to show Amber, an aspiring architect, being shot at point blank range and her mother coming to her aid.

"This is one of the saddest videos I've seen. In my opinion these individuals are out and out cowards," Clark added.

The video also shows the suspects as they flee the scene and later get into this black sedan to make their getaway. Police are still searching for amber's killers.

"Right now we need a lead," Clark said.

Clark said an earlier tip that led detectives to two so called persons of interest on Monday turned out to be a hoax. The tipster has now been charged with supplying false information to police.

"His motive was he owed some type of drug debt to these individuals and this was his way of trying to get them arrested," Clark added.

Earlier this week Amber's mom told FOX 29 her daughter's death was senseless and pointless.

"That's why I label him a coward. You have a defenseless female who over a $14 purse you shot and kill her."

Police say there's a $30,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction. The Fraternal Order of Police added $10,000 to the city's standard $20,000 reward in homicide cases.

Detectives made a plea for the getaway driver to turn himself in and identify the gunmen. Clark said the driver could be in line for some sort of deal if he surrenders and names the gunmen.
