Winter Park parade to be featured in Budweiser Super Bowl commercial
WINTER PARK, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
It's official. A parade held earlier this month in Winter Park to honor a hometown hero will be featured in a Budweiser commercial during Super Bowl XLVIII. The game airs this Sunday, February 2, on FOX 35.
The parade was in honor of Lt. Chuck Nadd's return home from military service in Afghanistan.
"To have our city featured during Super Bowl XLVIII is a special privilege and to know this honors our brave soldiers makes it even better," said Winter Park Mayor Ken Bradley
Nadd, a 2007 graduate of Trinity Preparatory School and a Black Hawk pilot, was treated to the fanfare including bands and the Budweiser Clydesdales. It was a complete surprise and a bit overwhelming for Lt. Nadd.
"It's a real blessing to see how much everyone cares, because a lot of times, you're in tough circumstances or you're in situations where you don't know if folks back home remember," said Lt. Nadd. "Days like today show that everybody really does remember, and that means a lot. Like I said, there are so many folks who have given so much more than me. We just want to keep them in our thoughts and prayers, folks who are still back there, because they're really the heroes."
