Ridgewood Real Estate

Posted: Updated:
Ridgewood, New Jersey (My9News) - Ridgewood is a great town of 25,000 people just about 20 miles outside of New York City, and it’s even described by some as having the perfect trifecta. The trifecta includes: location, schools and its own downtown, which makes Ridgewood a fabulous place to live.

Ridgewood High School offers a great academic experience, with language programs, music programs and athletic programs.

The train station is centrally located, making a commute to work in Manhattan easy. The fabulous downtown on East Ridgewood Avenue boasts a movie theatre, a number of stores and the Daily Treat Diner, a Ridgewood staple that has been around for over 50 years.

If this trifecta of perfections makes you want to live in Ridgewood, the homes there are breathtaking. Weichert real estate expert Susan Luciano discussed how Ridgewood is in such high demand.

“Right now the market in Ridgewood is well in need of inventory. There are about 6,000 homes in Ridgewood and we probably have less than 40 active right now,” she explained.

The houses will cost you a pretty penny though. The most popular price range right now is between $700,000 and $800,000, and about a third of what’s currently active will cost you over a million dollars.

Some residents of West New York, New Jersey are happy with their beautiful views of Manhattan, but aren’t too happy about the noise that is coming over from the city. Residents who live at the Hudson Club apartment complex at Port Imperial say that the music that reportedly comes from a new concert hall at Pier 97 across the Hudson River in New York City is affecting their quality of life.
