Zoey Deutch: At Least My Heels Are Like My Weapons

She loves to cook.  And she thought about becoming a psychologist. But considering who her parents are, it's no surprise that Zoey Deutch decided to become an actress.  (She stars in the new movie, "Vampire Academy.")

Zoey's father is Howard Deutch, the director of dozens of TV shows and films including "Pretty In Pink" and "Some Kind of Wonderful."  And her mother is Lea Thompson, who starred in the three "Back To The Future" films and the TV series, "Caroline In The City."

Zoe joins Steve Edwards and guest-host Elisabeth Rohm on Good Day L.A.

1) She is an American actress. She is known for portraying Juliet Martin on The CW television series Ringer, Maya Bennett in the Disney Channel television series The Suite Life on Deck, and Rose Hathaway in the 2014 film Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters.

2) Deutch began her career in 2010 on the Disney Channel Original Series The Suite Life on Deck[8] as Maya, Zack Martin's love interest. From 2011 to 2012, she had a recurring role as Juliet Martin on The CW series Ringer.

3) In 2011, she appeared in an episode of the television series NCIS titled "One Last Score". Deutch booked a small scene in Amazing Spider-Man, she play's a gossip girl In the bathroom that is terrorized by the Lizard. In the end, director Marc Webb cut the scene from the movie in favor of keeping the action of the fight between the Spider and the Lizard in the school, the scene is available on the DVD.

4) She also appeared in an episode of the television series Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior titled "The Girl In The Blue Mask" and she landed a role in Marc Cherry's television film Hallelujah. She appeared alongside her mother and sister on the big screen in film Mayor Cupcake, and played supporting character Emily Asher in the 2013 fantasy-romance-drama Beautiful Creatures. In February 2013, she was cast as Rosemarie Hathaway in Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters, based off the book series written by Richelle Mead. In January 2014, it was announced that she would star opposite Tyson Ritter in Randall Miller's Midnight Rider: The Gregg Allman Story, a biopic on Gregg Allman.

‘Vampire Academy' opens Friday, February 7th.
