SeaWorld announces more acts for week 2 of concert series
ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
SeaWorld Orlando announced two more headliners for the second week of its Bands, Brews and BBQ festival Wednesday morning.
Country singer Gretchen Wilson will perform on Saturday, February 8 at 4pm and comedian Bill Engvall will perform Sunday, February 9 at 4pm both inside the park's Bayside Stadium.
Two superstars took the stage on week one of the Bands, Brew & BBQ festival last weekend.
Alan Jackson performed on Saturday and Kid Rock on Sunday at SeaWorld Orlando.
The two performers garnered national attention after several big named stars dropped out of the Orlando concert series following the release of a documentary critical of the park.
Nine recording artists had backed out of performing at the SeaWorld Orlando concert series, including country singers Trace Adkins, Martina McBride, Trisha Yearwood, as well as rock performers Heart, 38 Special and Barenaked Ladies.
They say they made their decision after fans launched campaigns on Change.org citing the documentary "Blackfish."
"Blackfish" explores what may have caused an orca to kill veteran SeaWorld trainer Dawn Brancheau in 2010.
Bands, Brew & BBQ takes place weekends in February through the first two weekends in March.
