Ocala police seek four suspects in Best Buy robbery

Posted: Updated:
OCALA, Fla. (WOGX FOX 51) -

Ocala police officers are searching for four robbery suspects accused of stealing merchandise from a Best Buy.  An employee of the store was struck twice by a getaway car, investigators say.

Surveillance cameras recorded a series of events on Thursday when the robbery took place.  The video shows the suspects, four back women, enter the store and then flee from the area a short time later.

Police say one person followed the suspects, confronting them at a stop light.  That person recovered two cellphones.

Detectives are seeking assistance in identifying the four suspects, and they may be from the Tampa Bay area, as that is where information indicates the car they were in was rented.

Anyone with information on the identities and/or location of these suspects is asked to contact the Ocala Police Department at 352-369-7000.  Tips can also be submitted, anonymously or not, through our MyPD App.

Another anonymous way to give a tip is via Crime Stoppers of Marion County at 352-368-STOP or at www.ocalacrimestoppers.com.
