Note found on Jet Blue plane prompts an investigation and closes a gate at OIA

Posted: Updated:

A scare at Orlando International Airport shut down a boarding/departure gate for a couple of hours Saturday night.  Carolyn Fennell, the media spokesperson for OIA told FOX 35 a suspicious note was found on the Jet Blue plane around 8 p.m.

The note was found by the crew, shortly after the passengers of flight 1075 got off of the plane.  At this time, we don't know what the note said because a spokes person with Jet Blue told us that information wouldn't be released, but Orlando police listed the incident on their website as a bomb threat.

Jet Blue's spokesperson also told us, that the threat was a non-credible threat.  However, Carolyn Fennell with OIA told us, due to the investigation, they had to close Gate 8 as a precaution, while officials searched the area, but again, nothing was found.

The terminal opened back up shortly before 10 p.m.  The flight was coming from Providence, Rhode Island.
