Read About Garden State Zombies

Posted: Updated:
In recent years, pop culture has reinvigorated Americans' apocalyptic interests with ideas of brain eating monsters and slow walking corpses. With such programming as The Walking Dead, or newly released films such as World War Z; it’s hard to find an American who isn’t fascinated with the potential real world possibility of a zombie apocalypse. But what if that apocalypse took place in New Jersey? A new book entitled “Exit Zero” does just that in telling a story about the Garden State, zombies, and survival.

Neil Cohen, New Jersey Native and author of “Exit Zero”, discussed the inspiration for having zombies and New Jersey in the same plot.

"I had started writing a book about growing up in New Jersey. Then I had started writing a short story about a zombie apocalypse. The two kind of became two great tastes, that tastes great together and became a New Jersey based zombie apocalypse," Cohen said.

The book recollects classic New Jersey symbols that are played out in the colorful artwork on the book cover; with one side of the cover depicting a zombie wearing a Jersey Strong tee shirt at the Jersey Shore.

When asked about where Cohen would go if he was stuck in New Jersey during a zombie apocalypse he jokingly had this to say.

“If I was in New Jersey, I would probably run to the Governor's place. I hear they know how to set up some great roadblocks and they can probably just stop that zombie hoard from moving forward. I kid. I kid," Cohen said.

“Exit Zero” is available in stores now and online on Google Play.

StubHub, which is a website that provides services for buyers and sellers for tickets to sporting events, concerts, and other live entertainment events, has been hacked. StubHub is getting a lot of bad press, but the site is really the victim here. The hackers have hacked accounts from other sites, and then used that information to get into the StubHub accounts.
