Hollywood Police Car 'Smash And Grab'

Hollywood, CA -

(FOX 11) The area around Hollywood and Highland is always full of activity.  But tourists and others were quite surprised to see a man, calmly take a couple of metal spikes from the back of a construction truck.  He then proceeded to smash the windows out of a police vehicle parked outside the Dolby Theater.

The sound of the first two windows breaking caught the attention of an Australian tourist staying the hostel across the street.  She pointed her camera on the police car, convinced the man would break more glass.

The vehicle was empty and he went from one window to another, then the back windshield, finally two more windows on the passenger side.  The last window broken, he leaned in and took a laptop computer, then walked over to a kiosk and opened the computer and tried to get it working.  Dani Mitchell says she was amazed at how calmly he did the deed.  He didn't seem worried at all that the police would come or that someone else might stop him.

He then walked away and according to a witness dressed like Superman, the police officers returned then asked people who was responsible.  Superman aka Christopher Dennis said he and others pointed to the man walking east on Hollywood Blvd.  Dennis then said, police went to stop him.  He fought with police a little and Dennis said, there was the "three star takedown"   Police got a hold of him at the Sandra Bullock star, there was a bit of a struggle over the Keanu Reeves star and then they finally got him down and in cuffs over the Susan Lucci star.

Dennis said, before the man started to smash the windows, he was heard spouting government conspiracy rants.
