Efforts To Dig Out From Snow In Telford Are Futile

Posted: Updated:

In Bucks County, round two of this storm is revving up tonight after it already dumped 10 to 13 inches of snow earlier.

"This isn't going to be the snow. This is supposed to be the ice right?" Heading out to work tonight at the onset of the second storm of the day has Greg Koontz concerned. He started by digging out his car and probably won't have any problems getting there. Getting home though might be a different story.

"That's if I come home. I might have to stay at work until it clears up," said Greg.

The roads in Telford Bucks County were completely covered and gritty after the first wave of snow. Few cars were out because most people couldn't get out.

"You can't fight mother nature. It is what it is," said Jeremy Weaver who spent the afternoon helping his neighbors who were snowed in.

"It's something to do. I got a plow and people need help," he said as he tried to help as many neighbors as he could.

"It's miserable. I actually had one driveway that I couldn't even push. It was that heavy. It's miserable, heavy snow," said Jeremy.

Ted Rogers got help clearing his driveway so he could park his truck as close to the house as possible.

"I wasn't sure if we were going to have power outages so I put the generator in the back of my truck so I can get it closer to the house and run the cords from it," said Ted. He's prepared in case tonight's rain, snow and ice knock out power.

"I hope it's over. I hope the worst is over," said Ted.
