TAYLOR, Mich. (WJBK) -

Police say two people have been arrested in connection with the shooting of a Taylor man inside his home. One of the men arrested is a neighbor of the victim.

John Henry returned home with his wife Monday night to find an intruder inside their home. Henry was shot in the head by a burglar hiding in a closet.

The day after the shooting, a neighbor of Henry's spoke with FOX 2 calling the incident "scary" and said she was "at a loss for words," and expressed how much she and her fiance appreciate their new neighbor.

"The first time I ever encountered him was, we were moving in that day and we had gotten stuck in the ditch and he actually came over and, instead of us having to pay a tow truck, he pulled us out of the ditch," Kimberly Hoffman had said.

Her fiance is one of the men taken into police custody.

He is seen walking behind Hoffman during the interview (SEE PHOTO), and even talked with another local news outlet.

Taylor police tell FOX 2's Amy Lange the two men are expected to be arraigned in Romulus Saturday morning. The charges range from home invasion to possibly attempted murder.

Meantime, the community continues to rally for Henry's recovery. He is still in the hospital in critical condition but is showing signs of improvement, though he has lost an eye.
